You agree that any disputes related to your use of the site, services, or purchases will be resolved through confidential, binding individual arbitration, and you waive the right to participate in a class action or similar proceeding.
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. They govern your use of this website and the services provided by Castle Island Cleaning, LLC (“CIC,” “we,” or “our”). Access to the website and any related content, features, or services is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms.

CIC may update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to this website. It is your responsibility to review the Terms periodically. Continued use of the site after any updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Conduct
By using this website, you agree not to engage in any activity that is unlawful, violates these Terms and Conditions, or interferes with the proper functioning of the site. This includes, but is not limited to:
Submitting false or misleading information
Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems

Payments
Castle Island Cleaning (CIC) processes all payments through QuickBooks, a secure third-party platform. We accept credit cards, debit cards, Venmo, and PayPal. When submitting a payment, you may be asked to provide relevant billing information, including your name, billing address, and payment details. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all information submitted.
Conditions
If you would like Castle Island Cleaning (CIC) to perform any additional or special cleaning services beyond the standard scope, you agree to notify CIC at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.
All additional services are subject to CIC’s service list and policies. Minimum service hours and fees may be adjusted based on the nature of the request and the time required to complete the additional work.
Payment and Refund Policy
Payment for all residential cleaning services is due within 24 hours of the completed service. Invoices are sent promptly after each cleaning, and timely payment is greatly appreciated.
We accept credit cards, debit cards, Venmo, and PayPal.
If payment is not received within 30 days of the invoice date, a late fee equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount due will be applied. You also agree to pay and/or reimburse Castle Island Cleaning for any costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, incurred if collection becomes necessary.
Customer Satisfaction
To ensure satisfaction, all service specifications must be clearly communicated to Castle Island Cleaning (CIC) prior to your scheduled appointment, as outlined in the Terms and Conditions above. You are responsible for reviewing the completed service once it has been rendered.
If there are any concerns, CIC may offer a return visit within 24–48 hours of the original service to address the issue. A specific list of tasks must be agreed upon in advance of the return visit and cannot be modified afterward.
Cancellation Policy
We kindly ask that you notify Castle Island Cleaning (CIC) of any service cancellations at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance of your scheduled appointment.
Cancellations made with less than twenty-four (24) hours’ notice will incur a $150 fee, as we reserve this time specifically for your service.
Minimum Services
Castle Island Cleaning maintains a minimum service charge for all residential cleanings. This ensures we can uphold the quality, care, and time required for each visit. Clients will be informed of the minimum when booking.
Personnel/Non-solicitation
You agree that while Castle Island Cleaning (CIC) is providing services to you, and for a period of one (1) year following the conclusion of those services, you will not directly or indirectly solicit, hire, or attempt to hire any employee, contractor, or consultant of CIC. This includes offering employment, freelance work, or other paid opportunities to individuals who are or were employed by CIC during the time services were provided to you.
Any such action will be considered a violation of this agreement. In the event of a breach, CIC reserves the right to terminate services immediately.
To reflect the investment CIC makes in recruiting, training, and retaining our team, you agree to pay liquidated damages in the amount of $15,000 per individual for any violation of this provision.
Limitation of Liability
You agree to notify CIC in writing within forty-eight (48) hours of any cleaning service if you believe any items are lost or damaged during the performance of those services. Additionally, you must notify CIC in writing in advance of any cleaning services if any household items or fixtures are broken or fragile, and CIC will not be responsible for any loss or damage to such items in connection with its providing cleaning services unless CIC is so notified. If you request that CIC clean window blinds, CIC will not be responsible for any damage or loss if such blinds are damaged in the cleaning process. If you request that cleaning specialists use any particular product or cleaning device or tool, CIC will not be responsible for any damage that such product or cleaning device or tool many cause.
CIC also disclaims any liability for any cleaning products that it uses, including, but not limited to unintended allergic reactions. If you have any allergies or health issues with any products or substances, then you must disclose said allergies prior to the service being rendered by CIC. You, the customer, is solely responsible for requesting and reviewing the products used to clean the premises with a CIC professional or employee prior to the services being rendered by CIC.
In no event will CIC be responsible to you for any indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, special or punitive damages, including loss of use, in connection with, or related to the performance of this Agreement or any service hereunder.
Delays and Accessibility
While we do our best to ensure our website and online systems are always accessible, occasional delays or disruptions may occur due to internet or third-party service issues beyond our control. Castle Island Cleaning is not responsible for any delays, errors, or interruptions in communication or service caused by such issues.
Trademarks and Copyrights
Castle Island Cleaning (CIC) owns the rights to its name, logo, brand design elements, and original content found on this website. These materials may not be used, copied, or reproduced without written permission from CIC.
Use of our branding, including our name, logo, or service presentation, in a way that could cause confusion or imply affiliation is strictly prohibited.
Client Certifications
By requesting services from Castle Island Cleaning (CIC), you acknowledge and agree to the following:
You have reviewed CIC’s service menu and have read through your custom estimate.
You have read and agree to CIC’s Payment and Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy.
You have notified CIC of any fragile, damaged, or delicate items in your home or space.
You understand that CIC uses only environmentally friendly cleaning products, including plant-based and essential oil-based solutions. You agree not to request the use of chemical-based products.
You acknowledge that the time required for your cleaning is based on the information you’ve provided (including square footage, layout, and requested services). If the scope of the job is larger than described, CIC may not be able to extend service beyond the original schedule due to other appointments.
You have read and agree to CIC’s Personnel & Non-Solicitation Policy, including the liquidated damages outlined in our Terms & Conditions.
Warranties and Disclaimers
You access and use this website at your own risk. The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. Castle Island Cleaning (CIC) expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Any material accessed, downloaded, or obtained through the website is done at your own discretion and risk. You are solely responsible for any damage to your device or loss of data resulting from such activity. No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained from CIC or through this website, shall create any warranty not expressly stated in these terms.
CIC makes reasonable efforts to protect information you submit through the website in connection with our services. However, you acknowledge that any submission is made at your own risk, and CIC disclaims all liability for any loss or damage related to such information.
Arbitration/Governing Law/Choice of Venue
These Terms and Conditions and your relationship with Castle Island Cleaning (CIC) shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or the State of Maine, depending on the location of services provided, without regard to conflict-of-law principles in any other jurisdiction.
You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Massachusetts or Maine, and waive any defense of lack of personal jurisdiction, improper venue, or forum non conveniens. CIC may choose, at its sole discretion, to bring any legal action in the county or state where a breach occurred or where you are located.
You further agree that any dispute with CIC will be resolved through binding arbitration. The arbitrator will be selected within 25 miles of Boston, MA or Portland, ME, depending on where services were rendered. Both parties will initially share the arbitration fee equally (50/50). The arbitrator may reassign costs based on unreasonable conduct or if a claim is found to be frivolous. In all non-payment disputes, CIC will be entitled to recover legal fees and costs, and the arbitrator will not have discretion to waive this.
Any claim related to your use of the website, CIC’s services, or these Terms and Conditions must be filed within one (1) year of the event giving rise to the claim, or it will be permanently barred.
Force Majeure Clause
Castle Island Cleaning shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to weather events, power outages, acts of government, natural disasters, or health-related emergencies.
